Creative schools committe were busy last week. They held their first committee meeting, voted on best teachers door; Well done Ms Sanchez! took part in a creative workshop and launched their sign up to Clubs day. Well done to all involved!!
As part of maths week the magician Caolan Mc Bride challenged our students to a bit of mental maths!!

Maths Week has kicked off in New Cross college, with all of our students taking part in the activities we are running. Here are just some of our 1st & 6th years competing in the dice game.
Boys u16 basketball team were excellent today in their victory against Belmayne ETS. Outstanding effort, team work & positivity shown… Player of the Match Temiloluwa Adeyemi, outstanding performances from Rommel Panganiban, Michael Mirzu & Kyle McLoughlin.
Our U-14 gaelic footballers were out in Erin’s Isle today for their first group game of the season. Unfortunately we were beaten by a strong Clonturk C.C. side.The standout players for New Cross were Tommy Kearns in goal, Eden Boyle in the backs, Callum O’Toole in midfield and Spencer Lawlor up front. Great game today for the girls U16 basketball team. Their second win this season against Blakestown CS, 39-27. We had some great scores from Simone Reilly, Michaela MacGregor, Maggie Szuta, Lily Meade & Tori Carroll. Well done girls.
